I just wanted to compile a list of the gun stores in Dublin. From what I've heard a few if closed in the past few years, so I thought an updated list would be handy.

No idea.

Was up there months ago, but the place was dead, and i heard recently that people have tried his place and it's shut all the time. So either a forced closure (no business), voluntary closure, or a mistake and he is working away.

He'd be about the last dealer in Dublin. The only other one was in the city, but he changed to ammo only, and i believed has closed down since.

Rory's Fishing Tackle in Temple Bar still sell a small selection of ammo too.

That's the one i was thinking off. It's only ammo though, and only a small selection. IOW no centrefire stuff, etc?

Crescent sports in monkstown crescent. The shop in lucan. Rory's in temple bar used to have the odd gun and does ammo. Pierce o'brien in dun laoighaire. Thats about it afaik.

Last I saw they only had .22lr rifle ammo. They might also have some 12g ammo, but I'm not sure.

havent been in a few of late but crescent sports seems to have a good selection and turning over a good bit. i heard tallaght was gone

Seems strange to be opening a big shop in the midst of a recession, especially when he is so difficult to deal with in the first place.

Neil in crescent sports in monkstown is a very nice guy. Got a few bits n pieces there and his manner alone would make you want to buy something. Yer man in tallaght wouldn't make you want to take out a wad of notes though.
