Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Milner is a bog standard player in a team of top class players :pac:

leave the phone line commentary on please

It would sound stupid with say....Michael Owen, or Niall Quinn. It's not only classic because of the sound, but also because of George Hamilton!

leave the phone line commentary on please

Reminds me of Arsenal v Valencia cup winners cup final 1980

Sound quality reminds me of Mexico 86.

The refereeing is of similar quality.

Pundits seem to find it hard to accept for some reason that this isn't the same barca side from a few years ago

    Ronnie is annoying me

If he doesn't watch much foreign football, like giles, fair enough, but don't try and commentate on it like you do ronnie.

All I need now is some sort of instagram filter for my telly for the complete retro experience.

Do the commentators sound like they're from the 1920's?

George Hamilton and Ronnie Whealan? They are from the 1920s

What a goal that would have been. Another tame shot from Samir

    Great move

City can get something here I think

Jeez, Samir. Say it, don't spray it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,496 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

At least City are making a game of this and could score. If they score first it will be interesting.

Kompany needs to be very careful now too!

    What was that Milner?

    Unlucky Nasri.

Not a bad first half, good to see the losing team going for it after last night's game.

nasri is extremely average also. hard to believe he gets his game in a top team

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Right; we've lulled Barca into a false sense of security in that first half. Time to hit them with both barrels now.....unleash Edin!!!

    :p

Maybe but i also find that the pundits are going out of their way to talk the english clubs up. Yes Barca lost at the weekend but so did City, to Wigan and Arsenal never had a hope yesterday, nevermind some freak result a year before

How did Milner ever forge a career as a wide player?

He seems to have none of the attributes you would normally associate with a wide player. That guy should never be on the wing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,630 ✭✭✭Alpha Dog 1

Dunphy looks like he's just come off a night on the town.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,809 ✭✭✭Rezident

Hah! Even liam admits ronnie is talking nonsense.

Nasri was the one to take off
