Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Barca have still created nothing.

Good to see City applying some pressure of their own

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Calling it now, a big officiating decision is going Barca's way over the course of these 2 legs.

Which Arsenal won 2-1. City will take that.

They rarely need to but Barcelona really cannot defend.

Calling it now, a big decision will also go City's way over 180 minutes.

What kind of obvious prediction is that?!

You must be thinking of 2010. Arsenal were crushed in the first half of that game. Almunia had a stormer!

    Valdes is such a liability

    Valdes is having a shocker

    How..

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,809 ✭✭✭Rezident

Looked like a planned dive by silva. They know they can score easily from those against such a weak defence. Amazed it didn't go in.

Free out for his own players jumping in to him

Good old Valdes. I've no faith in him at all.

This ref is having a shocker

Usual hilarity in Barcelona's penalty area.

What was the free kick actually for? From where he took it he must've got the free because he wasn't able to catch the ball.

Fernandinho is such an asset for games like these. Completely steady

What are you talking about? Very few teams have the record of getting huge unjustified decisions go their way in the big games like Barca.

City really starting to come into it.

    Unlucky from Negredo

City playing far better now, threaten Valdes and he will f*ck up sooner or later.

The kind you find under a tinfoil hat.

I'd love to know why Barca have stuck with Valdes for so long, he is a complete liability and always has been. He doesn't come close to the real top goalkeepers in world football.

    Great tackle by toure.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,839 ✭✭✭Jelle1880

So normally Barca try to walk it in, now when they play City who have big guys at the back they try to pump it in the box ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

    I hate Demichelis..

The David Moyes school of management.

  • Site Banned Posts: 4,925 ✭✭✭Agueroooo

Fabragas is key tonight for Barca. If they can get him between both banks of four they should be able to unlock things.

But City are doing the closing down game pretty well themselves.

True but compared to pinto he's amazing! I think barca prefer loyalty to actual defensive abilities. I've never seen such a successful team that defends so poorly. Virtually every time they defend they look like they could concede.

Is it just me is the ref giving absolutely everything?

Probably not bad news for us, we can defend their set pieces easier than their open play.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,952 ✭✭✭Morzadec

Should've been a yellow for Kompany there

Messi has been shut out effectively so far, just threw himself to the floor vs Kompany though!!

They could have had Reina anytime in the last 7/8 years, he would have been perfect for them as his distribution is probably his strongest asset.

Ter Stegen will make such a massive difference to them.

The ref did well to spot toure's foul just there, everyone else seemed to miss it.
