Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Was fairly muck against Almeria the other week. One footed predictable for 90 minutes.

    Should be penalty for Barca!

Upon second viewing I thought it could easily have been given.

This is true. Ronnie has good eyes. Shame about his mouth.

Why is Lescott playing is someone injured? He looks out of his depth.

Demichellis is not available. Suspended. Sent off for penalty last time.

Nope. He thinks they're offside from the pass into Alba :pac:

3 players were offside last time:D

Stupid question around the disallowed goal just a minute ago.
Slowmo shows the pass receiver was onside but he then used Neymar who was offside at the time of the first pass. Are all bets off at that stage, is Neymar considered onside? Or should the pass receiver (can't remember who it was) have finished himself and in fact passing it to Neymar lead to the goal being disallowed?

Evidently Ronnie Whelan doesn't know the offside rule.

I can see Fernandinho getting sent off here.

If he does I bet it will be from his hand making faint contact with any part of Neymar's body who will then roll on the ground 8-12 times holding his face.

It was a clearly new phase of play. More understandable if wasn't so clearcut, but it was awful decision.

City will have a player sent off alright.

Now Ronnie thinks Zabaleta is better than Phillip Lahm!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,651 ✭✭✭stiffler123

The referee just wants to give loads of free kicks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Most of the fouls have been nothing fouls, take the free kick and get on with it. Instead Fabregas has been in the refs ear about 10 times already.

Zabaleta getting in on the act now.

Too many long balls from Zaba, Aguero hasn't a hope of getting onto one of them.

Was it though? Would Neymar have been in the position to slot in if he hadn't been offside in the first place?

Yes. Neymar was onside in the phase he became active.
