Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Accessing fan and CPU on Lenovo G580

My laptop cut out twice today. I think it is from overheating, so I disassembled it to see if the vent is clogged and/or the thermal paste is dried. However I couldn't figure out how to open it enough to get at the fan etc, after removing all screws and so on. I have done this a good few times on my old Dell m1530 so I didn't expect to have a problem. I looked for online instructions but couldn't find any on the model; only on the 550 which was much easier to access.

Has anyone done this on this particular model of laptop? Especially useful would be a video/pictorial guide.

    Thanks
