things went downhill for the aussies after that 30 run over. Dont know why they let the run rate slip from that winning position.

Good comeback game for Pakistan after the India battering. Tournament is wide open this year I think.

Test match in colour clothing here. Slips, gullies and ball going past the bat every ball. Dohni would love to be able to keep these two going. Good stuff but Gayle will make Ashwin pay for that drop now.

West Indies not doing too well against India (55/1 in 11 overs) - puts our games against them in clearer context. Interesting to see how Pakistan defended 190 this morning against the Aussies. All in the bowling..

Despite India's comfortable win today I still don't believe they are playing their best side

Would drop Yuvraj who I think is in the side on on reputation alone now rather than on form.......Rahane in as opener and Rohit Sharma in the middle order as a finisher like he does with the Mumbai Indians

Happy to be proven wrong by Yuvraj but age is catching up with him I reckon

Awful innings by Yuvraj Singh......he can't get the ball of the square......he's dropping catches......looks completely spent as a player......he'll probably get one more chance against Bangladesh but it's time for India to look elsewhere

RCB will be beginning to wonder about his IPL contract with them:confused:

Hahaha India just used their "Get out of Gayle free card"
    :pac::D

That Smith innings was as ugly as you will get in this format:(

Samuels is in poor touch and with Pollard gone they don't look as formidable as they were a few years ago. Obviously though they still can't be discounted with the likes of Narine.

India look strong but I want to see how their bowling deals with a side who bat with a brain, both Pakistan and West Indies battled awfully against them.

Nevertheless they should beat Bangladesh so they should be through to the semi final.

Pleased for Mishra as well, wouldn't mind him getting a chance in the other formats, Ashwin and Jadeja have been favored way to much especially overseas.

    Does Mishra play for Chennai?:pac:

Does anyone know why Eurosport (Europe not UK/IRE) have pulled their coverage. They havent shown a match since new zealand V England on saturday. Also they have no matches scheduled on their website at all this week now. As far as I know too Eurosport held the dutch rights.
Bit of a bummer fro me as I was watching it on Eurosport (nc+)

Why do South Africa bother with World cups?

Team full of gutless chokers who have no idea how to win anything

Go away and stop wasting everyone's time. :)

A hat trick of sixes has really put NZ in the driving seat.

    LOL at Morne

What a worthless overrated hack. :)

Morkel back for second last over.

    Yeah no problem their.

    Do they hate winning?

All up to Steyn to fix the damage that Faf done by bowling the coward Morne.

Good start, Ronchi gone first ball of last over!

Despite Morne's generosity , Steyn plus some crazy batting by NZ in the last over keeps SA in the World Cup.....just!

Just wish India had a bowler like Steyn:p

Great finish to the game and great bowling at the death from Steyn.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,144 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Gun bowling by Steyn to be fair.

Feel for Kane, he batted lovely, probably th best young player in cricket right now.

Faf and Morne got away with that.

Tahir and Steyn saved SA there. Morkel bowling a wide in over 19 was embarrassing.

To be fair on Morne, he has all the potential to be beast, tall and serious pace, he has shown it in glimpses but for most part he has flattered to deceive.

Common sense he should not have bowled the second last over, and Faf is a shrewd captain really messed up by going back to him.

Luckily he got away with it due to Dale.

Also while singling peeps out for criticism, poor from Munro as well.

    Netherlands 0-1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,324 ✭✭✭keps

    2 Ducks

    1-2

Maybe it's just as well we didn't make it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,237 ✭✭✭✭djimi

Holland 1/3 now. I was hoping this wouldnt happen to them.

Looks like the lights might be coming to their rescue!

We would have done better than this; Im pretty confident of that. Our batting wasnt the issue...
