I know they are minnows but this is a choke from holland, that run out with Tsotobe bowling ****e was absurd.

I really dislike the term minnow...

dutch still favorites IMO. 14 from 18 with 2 wickets remaining

They can win this in singles ffs; why on earth are they swinging the bat?

Dutch backs up against the wall now.

Its been great fun to watch but some of their dismissals have been awful.

that stupid run-out a few overs ago

And that is that. 6 runs.. just 6!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,237 ✭✭✭✭djimi

Threw that away with some very stupid batting at the end. Fair play overall for a good bowling performance and some good batting at the top of the order, but its hard not to think that they really should have finished that off.

Really feel for you I do. Tahir, hendricks bowled well and Steyn was good but has been better, after that start and with the other bowlers bowling so poorly you should have got home. Some very naive dismissals, Tom Cooper was the big one, genuine class act who probably needed to bat 10 or so more balls to get you home.:(

Threw it away- lack of experience at this level I think:confused:

Pity Malik didnt get the man of the match performance.

Very disappointing they didnt get the win, but at least it will dispel the memory of their last game

harsh wasn't it? Malik was fantastic.

Bar Tahir, Steyn and my man JP, the Saffers are not performing to well at all.

The likes of AB,De Kock and Miller need to step up massively and I must say not impressed with Faf's captaincy so far here as well.

Do you know when umpires get all agitated with fielders throwing the ball in on the bounce to scuff up one side of it? Why can (usually) spinners rub their hand in the dirt and then scuff the ball that way?

Spinners rub their hands in the dirt in an effort to dry them and allow them a better grip on the ball. If the umpire thought that they were doing so in order to scuff up the ball then all hell would break loose!

Englands fielding has been awful here today.

As hopeless as they have been in the field today I hope England win today.....it'll open up the group nicely

Morgan's form has been very mediocre of late.
Let's hope he posts a decent score today.

190 to win and England are 0 for 2 in the first over.......would it be too much to expect England to make a match out of this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,324 ✭✭✭keps

    0 for 2

    What the hell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,237 ✭✭✭✭djimi

0/2 now! This is not going to be a long game...

Morgan didn't expect to be coming in with a NIL score

I'd say he wouldn't be surprised at anything at the moment. Giles is an extremely ordinary coach, with an extremely ordinary squad to work with. Early exit beckons.

In fairness this partnership has steadied the ship- and now making a match of it.

OT a bit, but how can Morgan play for Middlesex and Bangalore/Kolkata/Sydney simultaneously?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,384 ✭✭✭booth70

Brilliant from these two so far....England still in it but Malinga has two overs left

Most (? all) of the leagues are played different times of the year, so no overlap. Might miss odd County Championship game.
