Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I had a good look at them about 10 years ago when was reviewing set-up and where to go with the farm. They were really only taking off at the time and there were no sheep in Ireland I believe then. Meet Iolo and had great conversation with him and saw some excellent sheep.
Due to different things I decided against them at the time, but I still believe they have a huge amount to offer and are a real alternative. The wool sheding is only one piece of a larger offering but is dominant in conversations around the breed.

I had 2-3 sheep that started loosing their fleece last year(bought in ones ), cured it with a few injections , but the wool went everywhere and looked messy. I ended up walking around field with a bag picking up wool. Made me think how messy the place would be if I had a whole flock of easycase ???

What did you make of this low input high output craic? Is that just spin or is there something to it?

From what I have heard from some UK farmers the shedding isn't much of an issue as they don't have a conventional fleece.

Theres defo something in the input/output but with the exception of shearing I'm don't think its that much greater than a well run mule/Lleyn flock outdoors. I didn't see any issue with sheding in flocks, as said it nots conventional wool so less clumpy when shed than traditional fleece.

One thing that need to remember when looking at this breed is the recording of them is exceptional and integral to their development and breeding. There is something to be learnt from their development for other maternal breeds outside of just the wool IMO
