Everton definitely deserved a point there.

I was actually thinking to myself "Howard has been incredible all game; he's due a slip, surely..." and then she arrived at the most crucial time.

I know a friend of mine who ALWAYS sticks a bet on the likes of Terry, Skrtel, etc. (big, tall centre-halves) to score the first goal in a game. He screamed his bloody house down when that went in. :D

They didnt deserve to lose anyway

Agreed, maybe didn't do enough up top to win but I thought they were the better of the two sides today and if any team merited the three points it was Everton.

But, goals win games and JT pops up with a crucial one. Twas a decent watch other than that lol

It's not Terry's goal unfortunately. Didn't touch it.

Massive goal! Massive 3 points. Poor performance but in a game like this it doesn't matter, 4 points lead, with arguably the best run in, Terry's late late show could be crucial in Chelsea's drive for the title.

The influx of Liverpool fans in this thread in the last 5-10 minutes jinxed it.
I remember a time when they used to do that for us :(

Yeah, just saw there on a website that the goal has been given to Lampard.

My mate is sitting there thinking he's on top of the world. Haven't the heart to tell him... :o

Though in fairness, he coined big time off Skrtel a few weeks ago when he scored twice, because they doubled the odds for him over the 2 goals. He'll get over it. :P

Game should be forfeit and Chelsea docked 12 points!:pac:

Everton didn't deserve to lose .I don't think they deserved to win either and in the last ten minutes it was pretty clear they were hanging on to the ropes. Barkley's missed pass with a promising counter on summed it up I think. Chelsea had more in the tank and get shelling the everything defence. They just didn't have the energy and concentration left and creaked a little bit. Unfortunate for Everton but that's sport.

I was surprised with Barkley TBH, I know one or two of the Chelsea fans want him in for next year or the year after but I just dont see it yet, hes a promising talent but he had a horror show when he came on, gave away the ball and muscled off it to often.

Although saying that, Oscar had one of the worse performances I've ever seen from the Brazilian in a Chelsea shirt in the 1st 45 mins.

Everton deserved a point and I woulnt have had any complaints if they took a point, we had more clear cut chances at times but Everton created plenty themselves.

sick of hearing everton didnt deserve to lose.well they lost. beaten by the better team. so what it came in the last minutes, they might have been better for spells but tough chelsea were better for most. they didnt have too many shots actually 5 to chelsea 18. good win and well deserved

You're in the minority with that opinion I think.

I was at the game yesterday and I think Everton had the better first half but we were much improved in the second. Aside from very little sting in any of our shots but at the end you could feel the goal coming.
