Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Liverpool expected to win, they need to win, pressure is all on them. Swansea were impressive with their work ethic at Goodison last week and i'd expect them to be the same today. High tempo opening 10 from Liverpool and early goal would go a long way here.

Liverpool 3-1. Cos they will probably concede 1.

Well i was confident of a win, Kerri better not have jinxed it by starting the match thread. Could be your first and last Kerri :pac:

    2-0 LFC win

Thread title is very Mike65ish, hopefully the result is a little more Super-Rushish.

I believe in Kerrigooney, so hopefully a win and I will celebrate like we just beat the team bottom of the league....much to the annoyance of some.

Swansea played very well in midweek though in fairness Napoli didn't really turn up. I think Swansea will have a bit of confidence going into this game. I expect a Liverpool win all the same.

A bit of pressure now on pool after the top 3 all won, but I'm not sure even the most optimistic fan expects them to get higher than fourth though they are an optimistic bunch so you never know. Also seeing united climb the table might test their metal.

Swansea have been doing okay of late, they've pulled away from relegation and put in an excellent display against Napoli.

Fully expect a Liverpool win, anything else and you'd have to question their bottle.

I'd like to see Suarez and Sturrridge on the score sheet today. Let's hope we start with the same tempo as the arsenal league game. And put the game to bed early.

No more late heart attacks like Fulham please!

I'll have you know my threat start-win rate is pretty damned good! :p

Swansea had a very good game against Napoli so good they can yet progress in the EL and as such I'd be hopeful Gary Monk will have an eye on Thursday with his team selection.

    ITK?? Go way outta that.

Johnson on the bench hopefully. If he comes back and starts playing well then great....if he comes back and dishes up the same shite we've been getting for the last year it'll be interesting to hear the excuses.

I thought this was on the tele today, stupid Newcastle.

Really can't see anything but the best game of the season with Swansea goin 3 up in first 20 minutes and the thread becoming chaotic, only for Liverpool to get back in the game with 5 goals in the second half, with 4 coming in injury time of which there is 18 minutes.

I like that liverpool side and expect a comfortable win today. We havent played in a week swansea played thursday and we've a better team than them

I'll also accept a last minute penalty win in a scrap of a game

Seems a bit harsh dropping Cissokho after he starting to get into a run of form

Yeah, really hoping for a hangover from Europe as they look to have somewhat rediscovered their swagger since Laudrup left. They ran rings around Napoli for most of the game during the week and really should have won comfortably.

    Opr

There is only room for one CAM on the bench, would you have Alberto ahead of Teixeira?

Yea but Moses instead of Alberto tells me something aint right in camp Alberto.

besides probably nothing but a friend of mine works at the Aviva and he said that during the warm down after the Celtic game (preseason) Alberto and a physio had a major barney, and it seemed Alberto and whoever it was got very thick with each other.

I always wonder if he is getting on.

    Swansea to win 2-1.

N'Gog with the last minute winner.

    Suarez sent off.

    Skrtel own goal.

Its Rodgers standard model for judging player character - bring 'em in, give them a sniff of the first team and then cast them back out and see how they react on the training pitch. While the paucity of matches is against him I think Alberto will be back in the squad at the expense of Teix before the reasons end.
