Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think it's 23% of price you paid for wheel and shipping.
Then handling fee of €10 or €15 depending on who's delivering.
Chances are you'll be caught alright so factor in that.
If by chance you escape duty, think of it as a bonus.

Anything coming outside of the EU and over €25 is liable for customs charges, anything over €100 ( I think is subject to excise aswell) + the €10/€15 handling charges. It's hit or miss. I use addresspal for stuff from the US, I got a screen in for a Valkyrie for €80 all in, cheapest I could get in Europe was over €300. Well worth it, delivery charge is approx €20 using addresspal, I haven't got caught on customs to date, but I did before getting stuff in directly. Definitely worth a try I think

Got caught getting bits in from Japan there a fortnight ago, 190 euro purchase ended up costing and extra 65 as DHL wouldn't deliver until I coughed up, swine. Use parcel motel usually but not in this instance. It got bumped to customs as the manifest listed words such as asbestos and fuel (factory warning stickers)
Then again that's the first of six lots of stuff I got in since Jan and some were north of 400 quid so not bad innings.

Down with the air chamber and going to use this shed as more of a work place I think.
Torn between getting an ABBA Skylift or a bench.

I've an 06 FZ1. When I last used it (months ago ) the bike wouldn't fire up. Figured it was the rotor again. Anyway, I left it sitting for some time and want to get it back on the road.

It has the updated rotor - which I've checked and all looks good. This morning I've just put a brand new fully charged battery in it and also a new reg/rec. Power to the bike but it won't start. The battery tries but it won't go fully - tried it twice - don't want to ruin a brand new battery. Any ideas on what or how to check why it's not firing up ?

    Why would anyone even bother?
A car uses two separate oils for engine and gearbox whereas a bike uses the same oil for both.

Certainly not on any bike with a wet clutch. Bike specific oil all the way.

The basics. Kill switch ;), sidestand switch, clutch switch
Did you pull the plugs and check for dampness (fuel) ? Check that they spark when the engine is spinning on the starter?

    Scrap the cap!

Lad gone crazy there just now.
Looking for a knife off a restaurant owner.
Marching up and down the street doing Nazi salute.
Got on his bike, started trying to mow people down.
3 cop cars come, he rams into the front of one.
    Cops grab him.
Took 5 of them to pin him down. Crazy!

Looking for a few sensible heads to stop me doing something silly :P

I've had the Honda Super Four since I started riding in 2015. Got the full licence there in 2018 but haven't the cash for an upgrade.

Have done a fair whack of commuting on it but the last two years of commuting from Drogheda to Dublin a few days a week has sapped the fun out of biking and I'm considering selling her and taking a break.

Has anyone else fallen out of love with riding their bike? And would a break and a new bike help?
