My opinion is that GT85 is way better then WD40, I’d much prefer using it for most things.

    Yes, this ^^^^

Also smells much nicer. Eau-du-GT85 anyone ?

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Anyone have any idea what would be causing clock lights to be flashing on and off intermittently when I don't have the keys in the ignition, bike is an f800r

I got a 12v power outlet fitted to the bike as part of the first service. Anybody got any recommendations for one of those 12v to USB power adapters? I have one but I dont think it would do so well in the outdoors so to speak.

Nippy Normans site should give you a few ideas. Whether DIN or cig. lighter socket.
I recently saw an Optimate 2xUSB adapter to fit a DIN. Looked like it was waterproof.

I would start by checking and cleaning the earthing points

If no joy with that I would be looking at the ignition switch
Sounds like bad connection or water ingress

    Just my 2p worth

    What year?
If the clock is resetting at the same time check your battery connections, could be a short somewhere.

i havn't my Haynes manual on me at the moment for the twins, but I don't remember seeing much on the actual electronics, you might need someone with a diagnostics unit

Definitely don't mount a phone to your handlebars.

Vibrations has killed cameras and internals of phones.

    Filthy pornography.

Highlights for me are the Honda hammer, the torque wrenches with specific heads for whatever assembly they're at and the cam chain hanging of the cases on its side:)
Surprised the sub frame is integral to frame!
    Could watch this for hrs.

Can anyone tell me if the charger in Aldi starts charging automatically when plugged in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 167 ✭✭myclist

I believe it does. Curious about this myself when I first got one but it has charged several batteries fine for me.

So you don't have to press a mode button to start charging?

  • Registered Users Posts: 167 ✭✭myclist

No. You can use the mode button to select the charging mode.

Looks exactly the same as the Lidl one I have, just with a different colour case. You have to press a button on that to start charging.

    Scrap the cap!

Anyone watching long way up? I binged on the first 4 episodes last night. It's a bit meh so far. I personally think it was too early for an electric bike to take on such a task. Adding in the electric 4x4 into the convoy takes away from from bikes.

What charging mode is it on when connected without touching anything?

    That's what I'm afraid of.
I have a Lidl one and when connected it just tells the voltage of the battery.

I also have an Oxford one that starts charging when connected.

I want a few chargers plugged into a timer so they all won't be running 24/7

VRT for the GPZ tomorrow, appointment is at half 5, what’s the earliest I can show up in current circumstances?

I’m assuming even with level 3 the nct centre will be open?

I’ve decided to go with the ‘C’ registration, and from looking online I’m all but certain I know the number I’ll be given.

If I wanted to change to ZV down the line is it true I must wait until the expiry of the tax to change the plate?

Downloading them now, I'll probably give out about it, but wish it was me doing it:D

Long Way Up should be worth a look for the scenery alone. In an interview with Charlie I saw recently Claudio's camera and drone work was getting special mention. But they didn't show any.

Suspect it's a big marketing opp for the Indian EV 4X4.

I'm picturing the scene of them rolling up to a Bolivian hut and holding out the charging cable to a bowler-hatted woman who only speaks Quechua. They get distracted with chewing coca, then meet some bad-tempered llamas... Could be a classic.
