    Apes don't either.

    There's blocks on my zzr.
First time I went to Dublinon it, it had used one block when I reached there.
I thought this is great,I'm going to easily get home again with loads to spare.
20-30miles on the way home blocks on the gauge disappearing in no time and had to fill up around Naas.
Fuel gauges aren't all they are cracked up to be either.

Anyone get anything nice (bike related) for Christmas, either to themselves or by someone else?

I did make an offer on a bike but it was rejected.
Not that pushed but would have been a nice addition.
Anyway D3VIL said he's hanging onto it until next year.:D

I bought myself the KTM and my wife got me Keis heated gloves.

A few months ago I bought a bike to use for track days next year so I ordered some stuff to convert it - fairings and a few other bits. Looking forward to getting it together!

Happy Christmas to everyone - hope you're all having a great day

New pair of boots and pants. Had been riding with casual boots, pain in the bollox having laces tbh. Delighted to get the new ones.

Anybody got any brands/shops for some C&C brake/clutch levers? I have one stock and one C&C on the NSR. Looking to replace the two. I can see loads of amazon/ebay but I am not sure of the quality.

I bought some Chinese ones off ebay, any of the CNC milled ones are pretty good, if its just adjustable reach/length you want then they are fine.
I think it would take a lot of force to break them and I always carry spare levers under the seat anyway.
Teflon tape under the mounts is also a good thing to do, then they can spin and not break on you.

How are you finding the 990 after a month or so of ownership as a matter of interest? Bit different from your usual rothars and I've me eye on one as well. That seat height looks like a pain in the ar$se (figuratively of course).

I haven't gotten out on it as much as I thought I would. Because of the light weight nature of the bike it's a bit skittish on cold roads.

When i did get out I was stunned by the attention it got ! My other ride is a BMW GS and it goes unnoticed.

The seat height isn't a problem for me because I'm fairly tall.

I bought a pair of boots from bike world before xmas and they were good to deal with, even sent me a second pair as the first ones were a size too small.

I got the 2nd pair next day before I had even posted back the first pair

I see they've removed the delivery to Ireland option in the pop down menu.N.Ireland is still there though.

Will keep an eye on it as they were hard to beat on price and speed of delivery.

FC moto have upped their delivery charge too.

    This is probably a fairly stupid question but;

When do people think is the 'right' time to move up to a bigger bike?

I've been on an xj6 for a year and a half and I'm a bit bored with it.

I in no way think I've outgrown it and probably never will but I'm itching for something different at the same time.

I suppose I should just tool around on the xj6 for another year or so.

The correct number of bikes to have is: the amount you currently have +1.

The itch doesn't stop no matter how many you have... probably gets worse if anything :o

    This tbh.

I was the exact same on my CBF600 but that was mainly due to riding a Tracer 900 which had me sold on a larger bike.

If you got the funds move up now.
