Ronan this would look very well in the new shed.

Couldn't agree more. You buy and I'll store. Deal? Lovely!

Easy and tyres isn't really true . Do able.

    Not easy :)

OK maybe not easy but not difficult either.

The OP said it was a spare wheel that he wants to get sprayed up so it doesn't matter if he scratches it during removal.
Similarly it doesn't matter if the tyre gets damaged because it's getting binned anyway.

All he has to do is break the bead (seal) by standing on it with his heel and goolie on a load of soapy water around the rim and it comes off handy enough even with short levers.

I come from a time when we changed tyres at home every couple of months because we just sourced second hand tyres for free with a couple of mil of thread left in them. 😄

Yeah. ideal opportunity for tyre-changing practice.
Leave it in the sun for a while - oh wait.. Pour a kettle of hot water over it.
Still worth protecting the rim with some sturdy plastic though.

Depends on the bike, a skinny MX tyre is a different proposition than a fat stiff sportsbike radial.

    Scrap the cap!

Haha I did laugh to myself remembering that thread after posting. I've gone with a block built shed, 6m x 4m, but sure don't you know that still won't cut the mustard. Jokes aside, cant wait to get the fecking thing built.

My neighbour is just after getting a stove fitted in his steel shed.

Serious size, you'd have an ass load of room to play with and still have any amount of workspace. Is he a biker?

No, but he wants to become one though.
Wants to buy something like a mint dragstar.
His shed is fairly full with stuff.
Woodwork is one of his hobbies.
He recently got another 6m X 3m shed to make a bit of space for his other hobby which is honey from his bees.

Oh to have a spot big enough for something that size. I consider myself lucky to still have the garage. Mrs KH6 has had long standing plans to convert it

That's just made up of sections that screw on to the wall. Handy and looks the part.

My first bike was a Honda 70 in 1988 so I can't be saying much to anyone.
Although I was only 16 and only kept it around 3 months before upgrading to a Suzuki TS100.

Currently pulling apart my dragstar which has been sitting under a pile of stuff in the garage hasnt ran in probably 5 years. Tear down probably paint and remove some of the bling.

Bit of a project for the evenings.

trying to find a cheaper alternative to this at the moment for my bike.
    https://kriega.com/adventure/os-platform-16-20mm-tube-fit

The idea is to put a panel either side of the DR to carry tool tubes and rotopax (one for petrol and one for water)
Trying to basically build a RTW bike to do a trip in Europe.

Going to throw my Soft panniers over it all then, have a set of these I got off ebay
    https://www.andystrapz.com/product/expedition-pannierz

Was considering these and then cutting it down with the router, but the MDF will split later on with moisture

Or any recomendations for any tracker, not just that one?

Dunno if you looked into this one SM, it doesn't need to be wired to the bike and the battery life is about 1 year. My current one is wired but not well hidden because of it, drain is low but I have to keep an eye on it. I also need to turn mine off before riding or I get texts and have to remember to turn it back on, this one has a faub that arms it when it's out of range. These features stand out to me. I don't mind being the guinea pig if no one else got one.

So she's stripped took prob 7 hours total. Running a bit slow labelling electrics etc. Not alot of them on it tbh. But better safe than sorry.

Only had 1 broken bolt on the exhaust 90 into the rear cylinder. Exhaust studs came off head perfectly after over night WD40 soaking. Was pure surprised because the front ones looked absolutely dog ugly with rust.

Frames mostly good few bits of surface rust . So some sanding treatment and a new paint job . Black again obviously.

Then off to cleaning / replacing bits.

Those panels are a godsend for a fella looking to adapt whatever onto a luggageframe, didn't know they existed. In the past I had a ktm990 adv with a one off rack and the boxes were kinda hung on it ramshackle, they'd have been the job.
On the big I bought lomo panniers
    20190413-194339.jpg
Used them once so far and they were good, they seem to review more favourably than more exp kit.
