Bought recently from Crossans as well. Was out of stock elsewhere.
Isnt there an exemption for ordering from the North for a few more weeks/months without paying duty?

Yeah the North has an exemption to the EU duty rule while they work out what the **** is going on with the Good Friday agreement

NI is in the Single market nothing to do with GFA, It is the only part of the UK that is still in the SM.
It is written into the withdrawal agreement and the section is the NI protocol.
It has to be that way because the alternatives are a hard border between ROI and NI and that is not going to happen.

Hadn't realised that. Crossan service is always spot on, I've found.

To those of you undertaking projects/restorations, what was/is/will be your parts bill? I’m looking at about €1000 in parts for the 1000f

Hoping to avoid labour bills in some cases by learning new skills

about €2300 for the DR650se I think, but thats including a rolling frame and engine.

My friend is about €2000 into his XT500 rebuild.

    I'm estimating the R100rs to be about 2 - 3k for a rebuild

I’m not doing too bad so by the sounds of it. The bike cost me €1000 in the first place.

In saying that I haven’t factored in powder coating of the wheels/calipers or swing arm.

Renewed the firestorm insurance €240. Don't know whether it's good or bad considering we've all been practically sitting at home for a year.

BMW Hurst in Belfast are some sound people, no bother at all getting a spin on the 1250GS they were letting me have it for a few hours if I wanted - I only rang them yesterday. Did about an hour and 20 mins on it in the end.

The suspension and overall comfort were on another level than anything I've ridden before. It felt so much smaller than my own bike. Think I'll save up and sell the KTM to get one. Totally smitten :pac:

Beaut of a bike. I reckon I'll be picking up either a GSA or an Africa Twin when I can add a second bike in a few years.

Was flapping about a lot so headed for home when I spotted it

Could have made something instead but can't be bothered at the moment.
Yeah handy having a nipple up top.
    ZZR is the same.

    Surely there's enough room for some cable ties under the seat so your spins aren't interrupted ;-}
