Some bang of arrogance off that.

Why, he's only inquiring about his missus. The johnnies are a clue.

Ah, no, four will do ;)

I honestly have no idea what it's really worth. Good original condition (apart from stainless aftermarket downpipes) but been sitting under a cover for 15 years. Someday...

I know where there’s a mint one for sub 5k

Thinking of changing the SV650 for a sports tourer in the next couple of months (moving down the country from Dublin so will have to do more motorway miles, that's my excuse). Went into Bikeworld today to throw a leg over the 2021 Ninja 1000SX. They had one that sold yesterday but won't be able to get anymore in until Oct/Nov! Due to Covid-related delays at Kawasaki apparently. They're mad expensive new anyway, especially with all the options you'd want, but that timeline rules it out as a short-term option. The missus was delighted when I got back and told her. :pac:

Looking now at second-hand. Not many 1000SX about but will keep my eye out. Won't be buying for at least 4/6 weeks anyway. VFR800 might actually fit the bill nicely or I might just keep just the SV for another year. Or get a cheaper VFR and keep the SV - I'll have the luxury of my own garage when I move, so much better than parking in a poxy underground apartment block car park. Decisions, decisions.

I had the vfr800 vtec and it's a great bike but its a bit of a lump around town and the riding position made me sell it eventually, I used it for commuting on both motorway and urban areas. The cbf1000 is a much better commuter bike and you'll probably get one for less and it won't have 40 previous owners.

Why anyone pick that over for example the brand new tracer 9 GT. If I was buying brand new it would be top of the list.

Hi lads. Does anyone know of someone who crashed bout an hour or so ago outside russborough house. Really horrible accident. Bike was completely mangled.
Only asking because I'm praying he is OK. Had another lad overtake me on a bend on a gsxr.
    Please be careful lads.
    And stay safe

I had a loan of this beauty for the day yesterday courtesy of BMW Motorrad Belfast. Hands down the most beautiful production bike I've set eyes on.

No but where can you buy that tax disc holder? I'm not paying €7 for delivery of a €2 item.

    I've a query.

A pal told me that if the rev counter sweeps over and back when it's turned on it means that the bike has an immobiliser fitted.

    True or false?

I'd find it hard to believe thats an indication of a Rev counter.
Mostly like an ECU showing its checkings for faults if anything.

I need to get the foam replaced on my seat.

Would I be wrong in assuming that any normal upholstery shop would suffice?

A lot of domestic foam will be too soft or hard for a bike seat...unless you layer it....

    what's the bike?
some companies do seat kits where you just remove the old staples add the new foam and cover and then stable it back

I can't bring myself to pay €400 for a seat.

The answer seems to be sell the bike and let somebody else deal with it.
