I drove the z1000sx in McCallans, its a weird bike to ride. Its trying to be a sports bike and a touring bike all in one and it does not pull it off. Quick bikes all the same....again manky exhaust.

its just the z1000 im looking at, not the sx but i would imagine the drive is very silimar on both. Some nice aftermarket exhausts on the donedeal one. Its a bit over priced i think but may give it a look at the weekend when im going to see a sprint

Discovered Arlo Guthree 'bout 25 years ago, and just stumbled across this on youtube (think it was on the b side of Alices Restaurant). So it came out in the mid sixties and its still worth a listen and a giggle :)

(Its about bikes, sort of) :D

Spotted this in the car park at work, Can-am Spyder RT. There's a mad-looking trike I can get on board with.

It's got some BMW mixed in there as well. And some mad sci-fi terminator ****. would definitely love a go, but wasn't about to get caught up on it making brum brum noises.

OK for people who are disabled or something.

But for everyone else, there is something very deeply pathetic and sad about wanting 'the motorcycle experience' in a vehicle that can't lean over.

It's long gone, I've since had a Triumph Rocket III Roadster and a Triumph Speed Triple.

Just traded the Speed Triple in for a new Ducati Diavel yesterday though. Is bike addiction a thing ??

Quite a serious one. Many people experiment with the gateway drug 'Bicycle' in their youth or at the weekend but there's a tragic few that get hooked and can't help moving on to the harder stuff. :pac:

Saw a Diavel outside megabikes today, savage.

They're asking silly money for that one, which is 4 years old. Rosso Ducati have one from 2013 for the same price.

Here's a strange one maybe somebody can shed some light on it.
I was driving along the n11 near bray in the work van, I see a bike in my mirrors, a white pan with a plain white helmet/ hiviz wearing rider, think to myself here's one of these wannabe bike cop type!
As it passes I notice the jacket says garda instructor on the back, the bike had no markings but did have a pole for the beacon.
But the strangest thing was that it was on Belgium plates, any ideas what that's about?

    Was this it?

It's on trial at the minute, probably a Garda instructor test driving it.

Id say it probably was, it was the Belgium plates that caught my eye, there certainly wasn't any flourescent marking on it.
Are they buying secondhand bikes from other forces?
