Wouldn't be for me dude. Our of the price range and not the model I would be after. Never newer model is much nicer.

Gonna chill out this evening and start looking at some UK sites

Bear in mind the exchange rate at the moment.

Ah yeah its an awful exchange rate. Even still... Sometimes people just want a quick sale and price bikes cheap.

Deffo too early. Gen 2 starts in 2006 but they has loads of fuel issues which were resolved in 2007. So preferably want a 2007 model

They aren't special machines. If a regular bike shop can't work on them there is something wrong with the bike shop.

Cool. I was just wondering because ive seen posts saying the bmw dealership charger a fortune for servicing. I wondered why they just dont go elsewhere.

Maybe thats just with electronic faults though.

Probably to get the service book stamped more than anything.
Buying a used BMW without a service history is a big no-no for a lot of people.

You could, but i have to laugh when people think a dealers stamp is and knowledgement that a bike / car has been looked after. Its simply not.

From experience some of the large dealerships have some absolute loo las working on vehicles. The stamp is a guarantee of nothing.

Condition and receipts thats what i look for.

More for the seller nearly than the buyer.
A seller with a bmw service history is going to have a higher price on a bike and will be easier to sell to your average Joe.
Not that he is going to get back the money spent anyway.

Its about 3 inches higher clipons than the blackbird and not as forward leaning.
Spoken to a few people today who went from a bird to a k1200 for the extra comfort.

Will be test driving anyway before buying. Will see how it goes

Yep. Have to agree. I've been buying stuff off them for a while. Did me a nice deal on a top of the line jacket after ordering the wrong one by mistake.

What does a helmet service consist of? And how much did the visor set you back?
