NALA Ambassadors, coming to a location near you

    Hi All

    Yesterday (Sat 22 Feb) I, among several other participants attended a Learning Ambassadors day held by NALA. They are the National Adult Literacy Agency. At the heart of NALA'S aim is an attempt to encourage adults with difficulties in relation to reading, writing and numeracy back to education.
    It was amazing to hear some of the often difficult but successful stories from people from all over Ireland (including Co. Louth) who had made a return to education as adults, who, for various reasons had missed out in earlier years.
    Lead by such ambassadors, It is the intention of NALA to host awareness raising events, throughout Ireland. Some will take place in Co. Louth. To this end I was hoping that fellow county 'boardees', might suggest groups or areas in Co. Louth that may benefit from receiving information or may just pass the word around.
