Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just in and seen the line up. What is Moyes thinking?

Probably that the reserves did well at the weekend and kept his starters (Young and Valencia/Cleverley) fit and fresh for the big game

I genuinely believe that is the only explanation.

Cleverley is afraid of the ball.

he has such dodgy pass selection. no one on him and he lashes the ball at Valencia surrounded by 3 players :-(

Our passing looks rushed and sloppy and our first touches are just awful at the moment.

United lads are slipping all over the shop.

    That's a terrible cross Valencia

After a promising build up a terrible frustrating waste of a ball fs

For a team so obsessed with crossing they clearly dont practice it very much you know

Carrick is doing grand so far. He's at least looking for the ball instead of doing the hiding behind the nearest opponent trick that Cleverley is at.

It's nearly getting painful watching Rio at this stage. To think what he used to be and then see what he is now.....

Fair play Paddy, awful touch but the experience bought the corner

Olympiakos look really poor if United even just do a quick 1-2.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    :)

couldnt script it you know, Young has all day to pick his pass, the one he chooses is to blast the ball at Evras stomach.

They are there for the taking tonight and wrap up the tie early

Sure they not great like, but everything is being played in front of them and normally slow so they can just sit in their positions

It's just weird watching it though. Quick 1-2 on the right and United have some space and he just waits with the ball. 2 quick passes across the pitch and then once again, stop and let them cover. Baffling.

Smalling is the most awkward footballer I have seen in a Manchester United shirt in some time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,595 ✭✭✭Giruilla

cleverly turning his back and sticking a feeble leg out at free shot on goal. WHY is he playing!!

Olympiacos are a terrible side but we're so negative. What a boring game.

Valencia must be a beast in training to start so often.

Clevs first forward pass bounces off an opposition player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,668 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

Do these players know to move? so ****ing static

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

I may as well use the last passage of play where he lost the ball in the middle of the field, ridiculously, to re affirm my intense dislike of Valencia as a player

Young taking up better positons than I expected and looks like he could do something good. Pity its not Kagawa for Valencia and Fellaini for Cleverley

To be honest they've been by far the better side out there, have much better interplay, some nice forward play and they've wingers who can go by people...

Game is poor enough so far. Needs a spark

Would imagine they have been told to keep their shape, dont push too many forward in the first half and allow themselves get caught on the counter against such a fast team

The main emphasis being on keeping the shape, keeping the position and making sure not to do anything sloppy

Working out great so far of course

Doesn't change the fact that they're a terrible side.

I am worried. If united concede, can anyone actually see us creating chances to get back into this?

Did Rooney think he dropped a quid on the ground?

Not watching anymore of this. I am afraid as a Liverpool supporter, I have been so spoiled this year that this kind of football is just impossible to take.

Should just leave Cleverley and Valencia in Greece after tonight
