Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why is Rooney taking free kicks?

It's the only thing the club could get him to do for free.

That's the 3rd headed clearance that Ferdinand has had time to pick out an opposition player with.

    Valencia > Kagawa

    When Defending? Marginally...

When Attacking? No way in hell..

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,006 ✭✭✭edgecutter

    Valencia > Kagawa

Really? What has valencia done this season? Kagawa actually looks decent when played correctly and given a run in the team, but Moyes plays him once and then he disappears like a ninja for a few weeks.

Olympiakos's long-range shooting has been abysmal tbh.

Can't actually wait for this clear out. Pathetic stuff and it's compounded by the fact that Olympiacos are sh1te

If Van Persie did it down the other end you'd be calling it goal of the month

Can't see two goals coming from United with the current tactics / formation

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,631 ✭✭✭✭Hank Scorpio

Not surprised by this at all, Cleverley Young Valencia are all muck players at this level and have been all season in the PL. I mean does 2+2 = 5 in Moyes head or something?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Olympiakos are very poor and yet will probably win this game

    United are just so bad

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,285 ✭✭✭dinorebel

According to ITV he's a prostate
Arsenal fans have called him worse.

  • Ferdinand makes me want to punch something....the formation has done this to us Valencia, Evra, Young all wasteful Olympiacos are **** that's the worst thing. Nothing to allow Rooney or RVP into the game. These games are getting more stressful by the day, especially after a better formation /tactical plan against palace. Palace are better than this shower.

The one good thing about getting knocked out at this stage means we have to watch fewer united games this season.

If you think a few players in and out will change things much I fear you are in for disappointment as long as Moyes is in charge.

Ferdinand reminds me of Carra before his sudden late flourish. Or of Kolo Toure now ;)

Moyes can't keep blaming bad luck . The lineup and tactics are to blame.

what line up should he have played?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,361 ✭✭✭YouTookMyName

No need for MUFC fans to panic: this is where Moyes draws on his vast experience in Europe to make the astute tactical adjustments needed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,361 ✭✭✭Boskowski

You must be suffering lads. This kind of team United would have bossed and destroyed a few years ago, even away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Moyes is a joke at this stage. Cant understand some of his team selections. Januzaj had to start away from home, an away goal is so crucial and he is one of Utd's most creative players and would of done major damage to this Olympiakos team.

First half job done, more possession, no shots on target and concede a lucky looking goal (that wasn't lucky at all) so that's the post game excuse sorted out as well.

Think United will get through over the two legs. Olympiakos are no great shakes. Granted neither are United.

    0 shots on target.

De Gea has made twice as many passes as Van Persie.

How do United approach the 2nd half here? 1-0 is a disaster of a result whereas if United throw caution to the wind and end up losing 2-1 it is much less of a disaster. Losing 2-0 would probably mean the end of the tie though.

Moyes should be first to go. I praised his change in attitude against palace (even though the penalty saved us) when he looked to try and change tactics, but today he has set the team up to be defensive.

Would Mourinho, Wenger, Pep or Klopp play Cleverly (if he points at one more player on the pitch I will break my tv screen in anger) and Valencia? I would think not.

Moyes just won't change. One step forward, two steps back.

was actually a good goal, didn't even see that at the time

If Moyes can't get passed this team will any fans still defend him?
