Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Defend him if he makes a personnel / formation switch in the second half which he's not going to do I fear....

It's impossible to name everything wrong with this Man Utd performance. It's shocking, not anywhere close to the standard set by the top sides in Europe, not anywhere close to the club's own high standards.

Also the goal was a shambles. Too much time on the edge of the box, too passive from the Man Utd midfield and defence, which sums up their overall performances and De Gea doesn't move his feet quickly enough.

Would you say they're as bad as Barcelona are good?

    Exactly what I was thinking.

Because they have better defenders, midfielders and attackers than them.

Keepers are on a par though.

  • Is it me or are ITV trying to do a BT Sports thingy (as in the touchline analysis) or is this something they have been doing for a while?? Can't remember myself...

Olympiacos are the worst team I've seen at this stage of the competition ever, so slow and average. Too many excuses floating around and blaming Moyes for the team selection and formation. The players utd have out the pitch are pound for pound better players than the opposition, they just have no fight and are letting themselves and their club down.... and as a non utd fan, I can't believe how bad there are and I'm loving it..

That's why we're panicking though. The thought of sitting through this crap for another 45 minutes is terrifying

You mean back in 2003 when he was one of the quickest defenders around?
Attempt a joke all you want, but try make it a good one next time.

I've been one for wanting to give him more time but jesus, my patience is wearing thin....,

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Would you say they're as bad as Barcelona are good?

You'd almost say yes. They seem to have no philosophy, no way of playing, at the moment Moyes has 11 individuals, some of very ordinary quality, who don't all seem to be playing the same way. You add in a lack of aggression and urgency and it's been a horror show that is so far from what is expected at the knockout stage of the Champions League.

No, my justification to defend him get weaker and weaker evey game, I watched a small bit of hope on Saturday but that has been erased after the first half tonight......we have got to stay in this competition until at least the Quarters at a minimum for me.

still can't see olympiakos matching united at old trafford.

but they deserve the lead here so far, more energy and movement and purpose than united so far.

fully expect a better second half

While the defense have been poor, particularly Rio and Smalling, there is no midfield in front are non existent.

If united sorted out midfield it would feed through to the rest of the team

Nice of Young to dummy the ball there and let it go out of play for a throw to Olympiakos

Olympikaos are no joke team. Unbeaten in their league. They are often in and around the UCL knockouts. They beat Arsenal last year.

We have lost to teams inferior than Olympiakos this season. This won't be the worst result in terms of embarresment if it happens.

this is hilarious. moyes must want to get knocked out?

It was lucky that it fell to him with a poxy mi****, but the reaction to flick it was what was good about it, United defense was slack to press outside there own penalty area, should have never allowed the shot to happen.
