    (cross post in laptops)
Òk, Using a Samsung NP700A with Win7-64 and 6gb of ram and a 2.4 GHz processor. Have serious digital distortion on each output no matter what buffer I set it at. This is what the distortion sounds like https://soundcloud.com/joepineapples/hurt-dist and this is what it should sound like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iULJsJhxhE . Have tried both a M-Audio xponent and a NI Audio 4 and getting the same result on ASIO drivers. Have tried both devices on different laptops and they work fine. I've tried each device in different USB ports and getting the same result. The CPU monitor is around 4 or 5% so it's not glitching there. I've cleaned out the registry using ccleaner. Have started looking in to IRQ conflicts but getting out of my depth and don't want to **** things up. Any Help?

    Stabbing in the dark.

    Try Asio4All.

Check the system audio depth is the same as in your daw (like 48k / 48k)

And maybe something in the system is interfering with the audio resource itself - unplug/disable webcams and realtec/on board sound drivers.

    Good Luck!
