    Hi there,

    Is a university issued student id or a garda age card suitable identification for cashing a check with BOI? Or do i need to have a passport or something similar?

    Thanks

    Hi Eoin247,

    Thank you for contacting us through Boards.ie.

    The branch would not be able to accept a Garda age card or university issued student ID for identification purposes.  Current accepted forms of Identification in branches are:
    • Passport;
    • Drivers Licence(ROI & UK);
    • Current National ID card(EU).
    [*]

    If you're a BOI customer and have a ATM/Debit card you will be able to lodge the cheque to your account.

    If there is anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards

    Seán
