Waiting time after lodging cash into AIB personal a/c at An Post

Forgot to put some money into an account to pay a DD and just wondering how soon it appears in the account when you lodge it in cash at your local An Post office. Lodged it at 4.30pm. I assume that if you can withdraw cash there, you can lodge and have it appear soon enough? Have looking on An Post and AIB sites and can't…

Lodged it at 4.30pm. I assume that if you can withdraw cash there, you can lodge and have it appear soon enough?

Have looking on An Post and AIB sites and can't find anything. They don't make finding info that easy either, not that I'm surprised.

I was told it's updated hourly.

I do this regularly and the money never takes more than an hour to show up.

Lodged money twice in space of a few days. First time it didn't appear until the next day. Second time it was quick enough.
