I have a very small project where three of us have to develop a very basic website. The other two don't have much experience so I am meant to be their mentor but I am down with the flu so can't meet up. Is there some good (free) collaboration software which would allow live chat/peer programming etc?

Frankly, I would just Skype and share screens. I did this for Google Summer of Code with my mentor who was based in America and it was fine. Anything else is just needlessly complicating things.
