BTW The situation regarding the name was clarified in a press release by the station at the time. I've been searching for it online but cannot find it.

    Edit - found these though:

You can't call any of these channel the 5th service. The BAI don't issue PSB licence like Channel 5, there is only a Channel 3 and that ended up being the Forth Channel.

Setanta is a Pay TV Network
Channel Six wanted to be more than just an Entertainment Channel

If there is a 5th PSB channel its going to be UTV Ireland.

You're using a pretty specific set of parameters there :D

Setanta (and certainly not Channel 6) didn't call themselves the fifth PSB channel. ;)

But Setanta, as they claimed, were the fifth Irish television channel. And judging by the name Channel 6 called themselves the 6th. That is indisputable fact.

I would like it on the sky epg so I would be able to record programs on it.
You can do that with Freesat too, series link etc.

It's possible to do with a linux satelllite box / PVR PC too but not as easy since you need a program to do it as both SKY and Freesat each have a proprietry EPG
