Kindle repair?

Due to an altercation with a cyclist who thought that things like red lights don't apply to him, my poor baby Kindle has a smashed screen. It powers on and off OK so I'm pretty sure that it's fine other than the screen and since it's out of warranty and I can't afford a replacement I'm really hoping someone here can recommend a place around Dubland that might be able to repair it for me. Anyone?

    How old is it, Liselle?

Amazon are very good about replacing Kindles which are still under warranty.

Even if out of warranty, the replacement costs are reasonable (about half the retail price). I documented my personal experience here:

It's well out of warranty...they've offered to replace it with a different model at a reduced cost but it's still pretty pricey so I'm hoping a repair would be cheaper.

Very difficult to repair. It's a very specialised gadget too - replacement parts would be difficult to source. I think a replacement is your best option.

    Hi Liselle

I actually had my kindle screen crack two weeks ago. I repaired it myself. The actual replacement screen was €50 as far as i remember. So it mightn't be feasible to repair it (mine was a present, so i didn't want to bin it). The repair process itself wasn't too bad. There were some very detailed YouTube videos on it.
