Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Two of Chelsea's greatest warriors...titans...legends.... go head to head tonight in a battle of supremacy never before seen on this earth.
The world will watch with baited breath as these two astronomical powerhouses collide with the force of a thousand suns.
Titanium Terry vs Devastator Drogba in the epic battle of the 21st century,
Who will rise and be victorious in .... "The battle of Istanbul"

    I'd take a score draw.

No mention of the magician? The master? The cog of the team? His dribbling, passing, shooting will be a threat all game

Mourinho must have a special plan to stop Eboué

You can't plan for a player of that calibre, you just hope and pray that he has an off night.

    Fingers crossed.

Torres only needs 46 goals in his next match to equal his record with LFC.

    LFC (65 goals /102 games)
    CFC (19 goals /101 games)

    Tonight's the night ...

Trepidation is how I approach tonight's fixtures. Not one English team has covered themselves in glory so far in the Champions League knock-out stages. Granted, Galatasaray are not Bayern or Barca, but neither are they Olympiakos. They are a very good side, and that home stadium is a cauldron of hatred and vitriol that will make it very, very difficult for Chelsea to settle.

It truly could swing either way. Without an in-form striker, Chelsea will not put them to the sword. Chelsea have the better, classier players, but nothing's for sure.

I can't even predict a scoreline here, as it is very open to so many variables. I'm hoping for an away goal or two to bring back to the Bridge, but even a loss isn't the end of the world, provided Chelsea score an away goal or two.

Bragging rights for being the only English team to win would be cool. Hell, being the only English team to score is worth something... ;)

Good team, Oscar needed a rest so great to see Schurrle in from the start.
Slight bit concerned about Lamps and Rambo together in central midfield - might leave us exposed on counter attacks.
Come on Chelsea - I'd say 2-1 Chelsea tonight.

Delighted for Nando! Cracking goal, and a crucial away goal.

Great build-up play, delighted to score so early too.

Schuurle is fond of the floor.
    Stop shooting Willian

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,309 ✭✭✭✭wotzgoingon

Come on Galatasary, you can do it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Yeah, the line is way, way too high. One think about Galatasaray is that their defence is shaky at the best of times, but their attack is pretty lethal... way too high a line at the moment. Not liking it.

Also on Torres....how many trophies does he need to win to equal his Liverpool record?

Willian is a phenomenal tackler for an attacking midfielder.
