    Hi

I've seen a house in Ellensborough that I like & would like any advice re the area. The estate itself is lovely apart from the nearby pylons! I'm nervous of Tallaght but realise there are good areas & bad areas everywhere. The 54a seems to be the only bus that stops near the development, does this take long to get to town? All advice good or bad, much appreciated.

Ellensborough is a lovely place to live, OP.
I have friends there, an Aunt and a friend of mine has just bought a place there.
The houses are gorgeous and it's a relatively quiet area.

You've got Deerpark nearby, which is social housing, but I'm not sure what that's like as I've never socialised around it.
You've got The Kiltipper Pub and shops locally and you're near all local ameneties.
I wouldn't be nervous living there.

I don't know if I'd go as far as lovely. For me, its not bad, verging on nice :). The only drawback is that its a tad remote. Old bawn or pineview would be closer to more amenities.

Thanks for your opinions. I don't mind social housing once it's respectable, I've lived beside nice social housing with lovely people. I agree a tad remote, I'd be in the car most of the time, shame there is no bus going up the Kiltipper road from old bawn.

There'd be all sorts of chaos if a bus tried to go up Kiltipper Road
