    lifetime achievement?

say what now? he wrote all the guns stuff on his own did he?

he sure caused some grief on his own...

It'll be a good show anyways, regardless of Axl & GN'R... Duff & Slash have attended the Golden Gods every year since it's inception back in i 2008.... And if Slash & Duff will attend you'll have 3/5 of the original GN'R in the same building.

I'm actually surprised that Alter Bridge have been left out of the Album Of The Year category, along with Myles & Mark being left out of the Dimebag Darrell Best Guitarists category

This makes me want to go and see the Pretty Reckless that little bit more now, even if they're opening for Fall Out Boy (shudder)

Any ideas who could possibly present Axl with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award on the night?

    Slash? :P

    Slash? :P

I'd actually laugh if it was Slash who presented Axl with the award, you'd be able to cut the awkwardness with a knife

Sebastian bach must be one of the few candidates

Duff would be another candidate, i'd imagine that Axl would flip out if he knew Slash would be the one presenting him with the RJD Lifetime Achievement Award

I thought the Golden Gods was a Metal Hammer thing

I thought the Golden Gods was a Metal Hammer thing

Metal Hammer "borrowed" the idea from their US counterparts, i.e. Music Journalists who'd been doing it for years

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,382 ✭✭✭Motley Crue

I think they should get Eddie Vedder to do Axl's introduction...

But if this Revolver thing I see had it's first awards in 09 how did MH "borrow" the idea??

Revolver actually held their first Golden God's Awards in 2008.

Looks like it's the other way around then, Revolver borrowed Metal Hammer's idea

MH and revolver are both run by future publishing i believe.
