Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    could be pricey:

thought it was just a bolt you could just replace with a spurious part, but looks pretty specialised... could try second hand/ breakers/ ebay? copper slip on the threads of the new one..!

That depends. If you're using a torque wrench close to the bottom end of its range it's pretty easy to not feel the click.

The official Triumph oil filter wrench is made of plastic and designed to slip if overtightened. Looks like this

I definitely overdid it last time, it slipped on tightening so it's going to slip on loosening too. I bought a vicious looking oil filter wrench with three metal jaws to undo it. No room for the old trick of knocking a screwdriver through the side :)

    Scrap the cap!
