Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Is there anything in particular of interest in Milan or is it just a nice place for walking around? Are the main sights spread out or is it pretty much around the centre?

    Many thanks!

all the main sites are within walking distance ie sforza castle, Santa Mariae delle Grazi, milan cathedral (make sure to go up on the roof). the galleria vittorio emanuele is right next to the cathedral. the san siro stadium is a little futher out but easily accessible with the streetcars that are everywhere.

if you have a few days in milan take the train out to como and the boat then onto the lake (we stopped in bellagio but you have a choice of going whereever)

The same as the above post. I've been to Milan a number of times and the main sites can be done in a day. A great day trip is the train to Como (about an hour) and you can have a look around the lakes. You can even venture over the Swiss border into Lugano which is another lovely town. Places like Bellagio are stunning. I never been a huge fan of Milan. Apart from the Duomo (Cathedral), La Scala Museum and the shopping arcades off the main square the city can been seen in a day. A trip to the San Siro is a must for any football fan. They offer a great tour. If you're flying with Ryanair Bergamo (the old town) is well worth a visit. Enjoy your trip.

The monumental Cemetery is probably my favorite thing to see there. Milan is not a great place really.
