Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Gerrard hasn't had a kick

Might as well just hand the ball to Southampton from the goal kick here. Can't keep it at all.

Couthino off and Sterling off second half? could use the pace to support Suarez and Sturridge

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,797 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Were missing Sterling's pace in my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Now Johnson gives it away under no pressure.

Johnson is a liability. Get him off

Halftime cannot come quickly enough. Coutinho off please, he's just not at it today, think Sterlings pace is badly needed.

    First half essentially:

    We have the ball
    We give it away
    We win the ball back
    We give it away

    Repeat x50

    Poor counter attack from us

Pool need to score again, there's no way Southampton won't score.

Jesus Suarez that was a 5 yard pass get it right for Christ sake

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

We look terrified on the ball

Gerrard jogging back after the ball taken off him

  • Registered Users Posts: 274 ✭✭luckyboy

Henderson has looked clumsy today. A good few passes and touches have gone astray

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Henderson passes over the sideline now.

    Fairly desperate stuff here

Ah Jesus Hendo, can't you pass it better than that???

  • Registered Users Posts: 314 ✭✭murtyd17

We are pressing very high without the ball, southampton are good enough on the ball to play out of trouble leaving huge spaces for southampton

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

    HOW are we winning this?

    Awful.

  • Registered Users Posts: 274 ✭✭luckyboy

Gerard was slow to get back when that counter attack broke down

Liverpool are lucky to be up.

Liverpool need the HT whistle badly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,477 ✭✭✭✭Knex*

Southampton are playing fantastic, they really are.

But we've been shocking and definitely don't look like a team who are vying to be 2nd by the game's end.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,516 ✭✭✭Hoki

Southampton cant keep up this level of pressing for 90 mins , if we can hold out until they start to tire I think we'll nick another goal.... here's hoping anyway.

One good thing for Liverpool is we are leading while still in 1st gear

Johnson is extremely casual in possession at times

Liverpool's passing today has been shocking. And a lot of it under no pressure.

If we can just get to halftime without conceding....

Sterling is hugely missed. The sooner he comes on, the better.

You're being generous. We're stalling, with an empty tank, fortunate enough to be rolling down hill.

Very fortunate to still be ahead. Hopefully Rodgers makes a few changes.

A very nervy performance since the goal, Hendo is always in the wrong place.

    Half Time

Shocking display from the midfield quartet

  • Registered Users Posts: 274 ✭✭luckyboy

The best thing about that half is the scoreline
