Has anyone in Ireland bought a Visio Co-Star?

    Does it work from Ireland?

I seen that it is easy to change the dns settings in it so can view the american netflix and view bbc player.

Does anyone have any experience with this device?

Thanks for the quick reply. Did you just get free dns codes and changed it inside network settings and you were able to view netflix from other countries? and how was the browser on the device?
Were you able to stream or watch rte tv3 player on it?

Not sure if I can discuss getting content from other jurisdictions here, but as I say you CAN change DNS settings. The browser is ok but navigation with the remote is a bit of a pain. Never tried accessing RTE/TV3 as I have them on cable.

Just tried RTE/TV3 players via the Chrome browser but videos do not play. I guess it's a codec issue with the Co-Star.

Do you have the DNS settings set to Ireland?

No I don't but that's not the issue.

    Cool thanks for the reply.

Trying to find a media streaming device that can stream from the Internet.
Do you know of any? or know of a way to stream rte and tv3 player on TV?

Anything that will run XBMC. My favourite setup is a Raspberry Pi running Openelec (a slightly modified XBMC).

Yeah I have a raspberry pi myself with xbmc on it. RTE player, TV3 player and 4od are a bit of a hit and miss on it.
Do you have any of them on Openelec?
