Demichelis wasn't at fault directly today but indirectly his lack of pace/mobility often drags Kompany out of position to cover when some runs in behind him like Borini did on the first goal today.

What I was commenting on was more how City would be exposed against teams like Liverpool who will have a field day with the space behind him.

He plays well when the game is in front of him so after Johnson went off he looked comfortable today.

A lot of the other issues with City's CB's are also caused by City's system of using full backs like Kolarov to overlap.

Love the way he was slapped down by Phillips and Quinn over the supposed foul by Nasri on Larsson. Phillips even said that he thought that Merlin had been fouled by Larsson in the lead up to the goal. Redknapp is one of the worst pundits out there. Several times, he's been on the end of withering looks from Souness when the CL is on.
