    Hi all,

I'm not actually a Leaving Cert student but thought that this was the most appropriate section to post in!

I am 24. Ive done the Leaving Cert and 4 years of college achieving an Honours degree in Biotechnology & Bio-Analysis. I am now out working in a medical device company for the past four months. I realise I am very lucky to have found work so soon after college but I cant help wonder is it the right area of work for me.

I am on 29,000euro per annum which seems like a relative low wage for a qualified professional.

I have an interest in Psychology also which Im wondering if I should pursue? Is there any chance I could do a Masters in Psychology anywhere? UK or Ireland maybe? Any other advice relating to Psychology courses?

    Any help would be great!

I'm currently in my 2nd final year of an Undergraduate degree in Psychology. It's an interesting course but the job opportunities are almost non-existent. I am currently in the process of looking into applying for Medicine when I finish my degree as I feel there is absolutely no positive incentive to stay in the Discipline for me. Jobs are almost impossible to come by, Postgraduate study is extremely competitive and Training programmes (Clinical / Educational) are almost nigh-impossible to get into without a PhD.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I honestly feel if I had known more when I applied to the Degree I wouldn't be in it at the minute
