Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I thought an early prediction for the world cup might be interesting especially in comparison with later prediction threads
    2 multiple choice poll threads have been set up for groups A to D and groups E to H where you can vote for the 2 most likely teams from each group to qualify to the next stage.
    I'll leave the poll up for a week and then set up another thread with a non-multiple choice poll from the selected 16 for you to vote for the most likely to win the world cup.

    Going with Belgium as the surprise first round exit and USA getting through with Germany out of Group G, just like both of them did last time around from the same group.

    France and Switzerland should qualify easily.

    F: Argentina and Bosnia

    Iran and Nigeria will be the whipping boys of this group for Argentina.

    G: Germany and Portugal

    Tough group for Germany and Portugal. Ghana are a difficult team to break down and USA have improved since the last tournament but don't see them getting out of this group.

    H: Belgium and Russia

    Belgium have a cracking team on paper and looking forward to see what they can do. Russia should see past Algeria and South Korea.

    Switzerland over Ecuador, unless they beat France in the last game who've already qualified.

    Nigeria seem to be a good tournament team, plus they might nick a draw off Argentina last who'll have already qualified (probably not).

    Germany and Portugal and both to win their last 16 games against Russia and Belgium respectively.
