Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If there's anyone at the ground, please take that loudhailer and shove it up the owner's a***. It's as annoying as the vuvuzela, which is saying something.

Derry City assistant manager, Peter Hutton, has confirmed that midfielder, Barry McNamee will miss the club’s SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division opener against Shamrock Rovers later today.
McNamee strained his ligaments while at home during the week and whilst the injury is not serious, Hutton, said it would not be wise to risk such an important player on the first day of the season.

Almost a great assist for the Derry defender

Despite RTÉ best efforts, Gerard Doherty has not had a name change in the close season.

Can't see Rovers challenging this year anyway.

    I think it's dead set for a 0-0 or especially 1-1 draw.

    Awful game, should've finished 0-0, finished 1-1.

Bayly starting ahead of McPhail for Rovers, interesting

That'll be the way for a while. McPhail already has an English season in his legs. He wouldn't last a LOI season on top of that. He'll have to be used sparingly. Same as Ronan Finn. He spent 4 weeks at Burnley while carrying an injury. He'll be used sparingly for a while also. Both of those could make a big difference. When Shepperd is fully fit, I expect him to take Zayed's place.

I'll be home for a game or two at the end of the season.

12,376 km each way. I'll be impressed if you can beat that!

The team will be a lot better with Madden, mcguinness, Shep, Finn and mcphail starting and fit.

Ryan Brennan a good player and Luke Byrne will come on well, I think.

At least we scored late when playing poorly, something that evaded us last year.

Well our 1st game was a poor enough spectacle, but happy enough with a point away to Rovers on the opening day. Always gutting to lose the 3pts in injury time, but a draw a fair enough result.

Alvin Rouse in goal for Ballinmallard tonight, entertaining :D

3.0 Pats Quigley running the show with 3 assists, Lynch playing very well. But in fairness they are not very good.

live HT Sligo Rovers 3 - 0 Crusaders
live HT St. Patrick's Athletic 3 - 0 Ballinamallard United
    live 39' Coleraine 0 - 0 Dundalk

Shels ruining my 10 team accum, nice one :(

HT Athlone Town 0 - 0 Longford Town
live HT Cork City 1 - 0 Limerick
live HT Crumlin United 1 - 0 Drogheda United
live HT Finn Harps 2 - 0 Cockhill Celtic
live HT UCD 0 - 1 Bohemian FC
live HT Waterford United 2 - 1 Avondale United
    live 40' Shelbourne 0 - 2 Bray Wanderers

    Cork 4-0 over Limerick.

Elding went off injured. Does not look too bad. Might miss weekend but hopefully nothing serious.

A decent enough performance and the score was justified.

If you're a Limerick fan I be worried about yer CB pairing tonight. Awful. 3 crosses resulted in 3 Cork goals score by maybe smallest 2 men on the field. Easily have contributed to Cork scoring another couple.

    1,009 was att at Cross.

5-0 easy enough, 1st win competition in 4 years or so.

    Pats/Sligo
    Dundalk /Rovers

    Semi draw

If he's taking a moral victory from beating our under 19s, he is..............exactly the kind of person i expected!!!

Really thought we were gonna win it in the last 20 of normal time. Going down to 10 through injury killed us
