    Hi Guys,

I need a slogan for my company.
    1. The company name is HostComb.
    2. I need people to associate it with Honeycomb
    Let me explain :)

The honeycomb, more or less provides the room/space for the honey
The server, more or less provides the room/space for the websites

Therefore the connection between honeycomb and hostcomb :)

Please suggest a slogan. If i choose to use your slogan, I will offer you a 5 years FREE web hosting account. If this offer is no use to you, I'll give you a BIG thank you and a hug :)

It may help a little if you look at the website and logo (i have a robot bee as a logo). Type hostcomb.ie in Google to find the site

    Thank you,

Make Your Website Stick with Hostcomb

Sweet Web Hosting for the Business Bee.

    thanks Ben for trying.

I think the word "honeycomb" has to be included in the slogan for people to make the connection :)
    Something along this lines....
"like a honeycomb, but for websites" :)

Can I be bluntly honest and give my thoughts?
I think you may be over complicating...
Even linking host comb and honey comb seems a logical stretch in that it doesnt make any sense......
Not sure why you are trying to link them as it will surely confuse matters....

Make your website work (or buzz). Bee with Hostcomb.

Trying to get honeycomb and hostcomb in will be tough if you want it to grab attention.

As it happens, I've just met a copywriter from http://www.irishinternational.com/
He is simply suggesting : "Join the Hive"

    I like this a lot :)

Comb is synonymous with hair not bees/honey!!

I hear the bees but I dont see the honey!

Would also appeal to the trekkies - once they hear that they will immediately jump to "resistance is futile".

Why didnt you just use a name of the site that was a bit more closely linked with your concept?

    Hosthive
    hivehost
    hivehosting
    etc etc
    or any variation of those.

Yes comb is also synonymous with hair. As soon as you see the logo you are more likely to associate it with honeycomb :)

    Or

    "Welcome to The Hive"

more inviting than a command to join...

Keep your honey safe in the hive

    Queen of your own colony

Home is where the hive is.

    Hostcomb; is the bees knees

    Hostcomb; Protection for the winter.

    Hostcomb; data queens.

    I see your point,
But i think of it more like a call to action than a command :)

    Competition finished, guys :)

I decided to go with "Join the Hive"

I did say at the start, that I will offer some free web hosting for a good slogan. Since I didn't pick any of the slogans suggested here, that offer doesn't not stand anymore.
Instead I will offer small consolation prizes to all of you who took the time to suggest a slogan. I will offer you all a 1 YEAR web hosting if you need it. No charge :) You can claim your free hosting until this time next year. Send me a PM before ordering and I'll send you a coupon :)

    Thanks guys!!

Wow - thanks for the kind offer. Personally I wouldn't have a clue what to do with that. So all I can do is wish you all the best with your venture - hope it works out for you.
