Hi all - I have just started my own business and I need to interview/meet a lot of people - however as I am keeping costs down I am working from home and have no office just yet.

I was interviewing in cafes but it is too noisy and distracting - was hoping someone could give me an idea of where to conduct meetings until I get an office. It is never more than myself and another person at meetings/interviews.

Based in North Dublin but can travel to city if I have to.

Please help - this is causing me a lot of stress.

A hotel foyer will do the job. As long as you get a tea or something they won't mind. Its normally pretty quiet on a week day and looks better to the interviewee than doing it in a cafe in my opinion.

    Bewleys in Leopardstown is great
    - there is Wi-Fi
    - the staff don't annoy you
    - the seating density is such that you can have a chat without someone eavesdropping
    - there is parking
    - it is reasonably close to the Luas

I am not sure if Bewleys in Ballsbridge has the same arrangements.

Thanks - I always wondered about hotel foyers. So you can order a drink and sit in the foyer... Are most hotels ok with this?

Leaopardstown is way too far unfortunately... Thanks though.

Yeh they normally are. Maybe run it by the duty manager to be sure but most hotels are happy for the place to just look a bit busier and if you want to buy a cup of tea or coffee then even better! I use to work in a hotel and things like that were never a problem.

Yeah sorry, I'm not familiar with hotels on the northside, but there ,must be a few that are like that, in and around the airport?

The Dublin Skylon in Drumcondra doesn't have a problem with people occupying their lobby for meetings.

Esquires coffee shop in airside, swords has a free superb board room available for booking. You just need to buy food/coffees. Free wifi also.

I've used it a couple of times - great service and very good coffee.

Bewleys off the M1 is excellent

Loads of space and staff don't bother you. I have used it many times in the past

You can hire office interview rooms by the hour from a number of specialist companies.or if you are a member of ISME they have rooms available for meetings in Kildare St. I am sure other organisations do similar.

I'd recommend hotel foyers - city centre hotels are generally well equipped for this and handy for most people.
The Westmorland hotel is more like a nice quite cafe and I think the Gresham is decent enough for this as well.
