Just curious as to how many contractors/builders are putting in bids for people's houses?

Maybe a small table like this to give an idea:

    House location:
    House Size:
    Direct Labour or General Contractor:
    Number of bids:

    Thanks

Possibly because the way prices/quotes are requested via PM on the forum make it a black box? I posted up some work weeks ago and am yet to receive one reply :/

If its direct labour they how can there be "bids"?

Not even sure what OP is looking for exactly?

If a person has put out a house build for tender: How many generals have bid?
If a person has gone direct labour route, how many quotes are you getting?

Oh you just want to know how many quotes rather than the value of quotes.

Personally I have been getting 1-3 quotes for each direct labour job. Sometimes I know and trust the person and along as the price is broadly in-line with expectations then I am not going to quote around.

    True: as is the reverse.

I've sent PM's to people who asked to be contacted with a service and they haven't replied to the PM they asked for.......Potato/Potatoe ?? :P

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
