Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I have an iPhone 5s and I am planning on purchasing a macbook pro soon. I have a standard eircom router and will be replacing it with a 802.11ac router once I get it.
I am wondering if there are any benefits of using the Airport Extreme with Apple products as oppose to a tp-link or netgear etc.

I don't think its a compelling advantage but there are some benefits. For example the Airport Utility app on the IPhone lets you see your configuration and update the Extreme or Express easily. I'm sure it can be done through other means but having the app makes it handy. The reason that I continue to use their products - MacBooks, iMacs, iPhones, Apple TVs and the Airports is that it all just works easily. Not a whole lot of setup or maintenance. I use the Extreme as a router in addition to my Sky router. I use the Express as a network extender upstairs. Both work seamlessly.

I have the latest time capsule (=AirPort Extreme with built-in HDD), mainly for back-up purposes. A nice bonus was the much better range and wifi speeds I now get in comparison with the standard upc router. Otherwise no need for an apple router...
