Hiya, just wondering is it possible to ring my branch and organise a withdrawal from a current account in my name and for my wife to collect it?

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, if your personal account is in your sole name, it is not possible for your wife or a 3rd party to collect funds on your behalf.

Just to mention, if you have both have an account in joint name and your account is made ‘repayable to either’, your wife could call in with photo identification to withdraw funds.

Also, just to add, if you require €5000 or above in cash, your branch will need 24 hours’ notice to facilitate this for you.

If you have any further questions about this, please ask. We’re happy to help.
