Hi Im looking to rent a 1 bed apt in dublin soon. A lot of advertised properties require landlord references of your previous rentals. Ive just moved out of home and so havent rented in years. This may put me at a disadvantage when it comes to some of the open viewings.
Are these references the norm for renting now?

Can you get a reference from an employer? It depends on the criteria set by the landlord/agent (some might want both previous landlord and current employer reference), but if you can only get one then theres not much more that you can do.
