Defo want to go Sunday for Public Enemy, Little Dragon and Gold Panda. Tempted to do Saturday as well purely for FlyLo, no idea who the others are save for Flaming Lips and Bol**xEleven and I'm not into them...

I got my ticket for the 31st May. The Flaming Lips are one of my favourite bands and I haven't seen them before. I like F*ck Buttons too so it should be good.

Myself and a friend have tickets for both days, problem is we are 16, my favourite bands are playing ff this year so please someone make me feel optimistic about my chances of getting in

I've never seen anyone get asked for ID at these things. You'd want to be in nappies to be pulled up. Best bet though is to go in when it's busy and the ticket guys are more focused on whether people have tickets/wristbands.

does anyone know will Flaming Lips and BellX1 both be playing main stage or is there a chance they could clash if playing different stages?

We won't know for certain until about a week before the festival BUT going by last year's festival:

the two headliners on each day were last and second to last on the main stage each night.

Apparently they've stopped all the crazy hamster ball antics and confetti wands etc, which is a shame, but they're still a brilliant live band.

must be another announcement soon surely, 6 weeks to go and only 7/8 acts for each day so far.
Life festival is the week before FF and has it's full 100+ lineup announced already....

I see where your coming from, B&S announced first, then FF then EP, so announcements due from FF and EP I think.
Just got this from the FF Facebook, they replied to someones question about the next announcement on the 31st March.
FF: " Ha! Believe me, we are too! All in good time James, should be along in the next 11/12 days or close to then." so announcement for FF overdue by the looks of it.

Wild Beasts added to the Forbidden Fruit line up, so maybe ruled out of EP now.

Orbital will be in Dublin the end of May, so expecting them to be added to the Saturday.

Gash, was only planning on going the Saturday but may have to switch days now with Wild Beasts playing.

Can anyone remember which night had the afterparty last year in meeting house square? I think it was only one night but can't remember which one.

It was the Sunday night.

I see the Workmans Club mentioned on the poster this year so I'd imagine some of the after parties will be there this year also.

Announcement next week. I imagine it'll just be small Irish bands and Djs, maybe 1 or 2 average size acts. We presumably have the main acts on the main stage and the headliners of the other two stages already.

There are too many DJs in the festival, I hope there are more bands. One or two big names should be great. I'm looking forward to Little Dragon, Warpaint and Public Enemy.

there are only 2 DJs, perhaps 3, announced so far

I suppose if you consider Flying Lotus, Gold Panda etc Djs then you just consider all electronic music DJing. Which is fairly reductive.

Yes, that's what I meant. Too much electronic. I mean, I like electronic if its like Little Dragon, at least you can see people doing something. I prefer bands who uses electronic music than just electronic music guys.

I doubt it'll sell out before 24th May, if the weather forecast looks decent at that time I would say there's a good chance it'll sell out.

didn't sell out last year as far as i can remember even with good weather, certainly not before the day of it anyway, so doubt it will this year either.

Two of my friends bought day tickets on the Saturday at around 6 last year. Don't think it'll sell out.

Agreed. Could take or leave Sunday so might just buy a day ticket this year.

If you can, check out Vann Music. Very good band. Saw them at Indiependence on one of the smaller stages and the place was hopping. Be interested to see how they do on the main stage.

1st time going forbidden fruit this year, where do the crowd generally go after it ends? As I hear it finishes up at around 11.

there'll probably be after-parties in the Workmans club, and Button Factory as both are running stages....

Does anyone know what drinks they'll serve at the bars this year? It's a bulmers event but I presume they'll sell more than cider. Basically I'm trying to find out if they'll have stout! Did a search on this thread and don't see anything. Thanks

Bulmers, Becks, wine.

Have a vague feeling that one year there was a stall selling some sort of stout/craft beer, but definitely not from the main bars, and definitely didn't see it last year.
