Park West - Direstions Please

Hi,

I'll be heading out to Hume Avenue in Park West tomorrow. I looked up the direction on Google Maps and got this:

I'll be on foot and not in a car so I was wondering if there is any way to cut out the Park West Road part of the journey and cross the canal directly from Killeen Road onto Hume Avenue.

The satellite image looks like you can cross the at the lock and some worn grass would suggest you can go down the canal bank to the businesses. You could maybe ring Apex Fire and ask them - the crossing point seem directly in front of their offices.

I think there is a private bus from Kyle more Luas stop running around the Park West estate try Park West Management.

There could be a ditch there that you have to cross. I did it ages ago, can't remember if the ditch is there or the next bridge. But take a look and decide yourself, doesn't take that long to walk the long way.
