I saw this link and thought it was brilliant, it is American, so some of the references may not be the same, but you'll get the picture.

Interesting references aswell ... check out this promotional video from Hunte Corp, the ones who supply the shop bought puppies in the US..

I wonder would it work the other way round? If the pounds and rescues all club together, form a 'corporation', shine up their facilities and get themselves a snazzy promo video, could they start supplying pets to stores for a price?

''Here at Pound Corp, we've selected the finest designer dogs (read: mutts) by a process of natural selection. We have highly trained staff who put down the dogs that don't meet our behavioural standards and all our dogs come from homes in close proximity to our facilities. If you haven't visited your local pound yet, come and visit without delay, we specialise in enhancing lives.'' :P

Like Rips I did a bit of googling on the Hunte Corp. Really wish I didn't my heart sank. I thought I knew something about puppy mills but the idea that some has set up a brokerage to take pups from puppy mills to pass on to shops is just sick.

And to think the founder thinks he is somehow doing good work for God. Creating hell more like.
