Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't read anything into the times or days we have receieved before. Every stage we have got through we have received it on different times and days, so just sit tight!

Probably won't know til later. Usually for stages 1-3 the longer your waiting for results the better the news is!

Just got my email. Got to the next round. No info on dates yet

Really sorry to hear some of you didn't get it :( Not that it's any consilation but this might give you an indication: My job simulation scores and report writing were both 640+

With report writing you were marked on several categories. So you could have scored high on 2 of those but failed the 3rd I you get me?

Something along the lines of grammar, information etc

EDIT: Well done to those who have passed, get prepping for that interview. Those who haven't, I'm sorry to hear and best of luck in the future.

Me too. :) 635 in Job Sim and 632 in Report Writing.

    Delighted!

I'm gonna assume that the pass marks were 400 and 500.
Go in on the skin of my teeth I s'pose.
    Job Simulation Exercise
    Your Score 405
    Result Pass

    Report Writing Exercise
    Your Score 507
    Result Pass

Its weird, you go from the low of not making the cut for the first intake, to reading this topic and appreciating what we have achieved to be in the position to make the second intake. I am so glad I have reached where I have.

Ah I see, as soon as I left the exam I knew I left out information. It was the fastest 30 mins of my life.

Does anybody know how the rankings work now?
I didn't get a rank like in the previous e-mails, just that I had passed.
Is the order of merit gone now and it just depends on how quick you proceed through the process (after a pass on the interview...hopefully!)

  • Registered Users Posts: 240 ✭✭mickaleen

I got a rank when I got my results for stage 3.

How it worked for us was that you were ranked based on job simulation and report writing.

    Has anyone received a ranking?

No I doubled checked there and don't see anything about ranking. Unless it will come with our date for interview.

How long did you guys have to wait from date of results to the day you got notification of your interview?

I passed job sim and report writing exercises however have an unverified for my verbal reasoning. Does anybody know that if you recieved a better result then your unsupervised exam,is that still grounds for an unverified result? I felt I performed poorly in the unsupervised verbal reasoning however during the supervised test I thought it went far better.
Well done to everybody who did make it through ☺

i also have an unverified verbal reasoning :/ im trying to think of something to put down for an appeal :/ its a kick in the teeth to do all the exams only for one part to balls up your application

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 192 ✭✭heno86

I passed everything else but got an unverified in logical reasoning, which I really can't understand because I thought it went great..very disheartening. Definitely going to appeal but on what grounds I don't know? Anybody any idea of how much of a discrepancy is needed to make a result unverified?

Passed- am dancing on the ceiling!

How do we appeal? went down on verbal reasoning also???

Go to cpsa.ie and you'll find the codes of practice. Download the first one called appointment to positions in the civil service and public service. Sections 7&8 deal with appeals.
