    Hi Rollo.

Unfortunately this model has been discontinued and will not be coming in again. It has been 2 years from the launch of this model so it's actually about time they replaced it.

    The replacement is the BDPA6000.

Priced at £189.95, this player had just come down £50 from last week and it's a stunner.

This now has improved smart system, 4K up scaling, faster load times, improved picture and is a seriously good player.

Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for this. Are there any reviews of this online?
As another option, what mid/upper range models do you sell by Panasonic / samsung? I am not that interested in 3D or 4K compatibility but will take these features if available.

Hi again. The Sony has just been released and I haven't read any reviews of this model up to this point.

It certainly beats the 790 in terms of performance and uses the latest chips from Sony and I have to say that their new TV range is superb. They have brought their blu ray players into line with their new TV's.

Panasonic are mid model change at the moment and they don't really have anything that would compete with this.

The Samsung have a model which is called the BDF7500 but genuinely compared to the Sony models, Samsung have always been a bit behind as Sony own the technology and they tend to be able to get the most from it. It's only £10 cheaper than the Sony.

At the moment, if you are looking for a really good player that has excellent features and sound then the Sony would be the only choice for me at the moment.

    Many thanks

    Dave
